Purina PetCare is one of the best companies if not the best company that offers the highest quality of pet products that range from litter to wet and dry food to even pet treats. Purina PetCare, for the past 14 years has built its company to be the second-largest pet company in the world and the largest pet company in North America. With name brands such as Friskies, Beneful, and Purina ONE, it is easy to see how Purina PetCare become such as well known and well trusted company.

Purina PetCare has expanded ever since the merge of Nestle and Ralston Purina in 2001. Since 2001, the company has expanded to be in 16 different locations located in Latin America, North America, Oceania, Europe, and Asia. The headquarters of this operations is located in St. Louis, Missouri.

What makes Purina PetCare one of the leading companies in pet products is that fact that ever single product is not just for the revenue but for the goal of putting the pest pet product out there. From what I’ve been reading on Purina news sources, their employees design the product with the mindset that this is exactly what they want to give their pet. The Purina PetCare facilities are even pet friendly. Employees of the company are encouraged to bring their pet into work everyday.

Ever since 2001, Purina PetCare has been expanding. Though the company has increased, their goal is still the same which is to offer the best quality of food to pets. When Hurricane Charley hit in Florida, Purina PetCare donated 80 tons of pet food to the owners that were struggling to feed their pets. This is just a portion of the generosity that Purina PetCare provides to animals. In 2003, Purina PetCare partnered up with the Canine Health Foundation to help fund veterinary research. In addition to that, over the past 14 years, Purina PetCare has sponsored countless charities that all are organized for bettering the lives of pets.

The most recent project that Purina PetCare is taking part in is a movement to improve or build dog parks in neighborhoods across North America. Thanks to Purina PetCare, many neighborhoods have been transformed into pet friendly neighborhoods that emphasize well-being. Purina PetCare has been labeled as one of the best pet product producers in the world. This title has been given due to the fact that only the best quality of food and litter are sold to pet owners.

Matt Landis Defends Notre Dame Lead

Matt Landis’ outstanding defensive performance helped prevent Albany from catching up to Notre Dame’s lead in the NCAA lacrosse quarterfinals. Albany’s Thompson was a threat to the Fighting Irish throughout the game, but Matt Landis controlled his defense by not allowing the Albany strategy to lure his teammates out of position. A timely lightning delay before the end of the second quarter helped Notre Dame to reclaim control over the game and come out with some increased energy and direction. The third quarter was Notre Dame’s weakest, and Albany took advantage of their run by going on a 5-0 streak. Despite this temporary slip in the defense, and accompanying lack luster offense, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish went on to win the game 14-10, holding the Danes to their second-lowest goal scoring game of the season.

Both the coaches of Notre Dame and Albany gave much credit to the Fighting Irish’s victory to Matt Landis’ performance. Kevin Corrigan, Notre Dame head coach said, “Matt Landis guarded Thompson as well as you can guard him. He’s a great, great player and Matt was terrific on him.” Albany coach Scott Marr commented, “That Landis kid is as good as anybody we’ve played all year.” He played disciplined defense and did not allow the intensity of the game to make him forget his team’s strategy in countering the Albany offensive. Even Thompson gave credit to Matt Landis and his defense stopping him. The consistent defensive cohesiveness by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish forced the Danes into desperate attempts, poor possession, and unnecessary turnovers.

Notre Dame maintained its NO.1 seed and will now advance to play Denver in the NCAA semifinals next week at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Matt Landis’s good week continued when he was named the Epoch/LM Player of the Week. He is the first defenseman to win the title this year.

Is Lacrosse The Perfect Off-Season Sport?

If you intend to play the game of Lacrosse, you should expect to get a few bumps and bruises along the way, but that simply means that the equipment you use will be important for your safety. Players must include a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads and a protective cup to keep them safe when they come in contact with one of the sticks. Unlike football or soccer, lacrosse depends on a special stick which is fitted with a mask to exchange the rubber ball between players. Players attempt to get the ball into the opponents goal which is blocked at every turn by a total of 10 players.

A Choice Of Sporting Events

When Robert and Norma Landis heard their son Matt talking about Lacrosse, they might have cringed with concern for his safety. Knowing their son the way they did and the fact that he was good at other sporting events he took part in, they knew that he would be able to handle himself. Matt Landis may have taken his education seriously as a Pelham Memorial high-school student, but he understood the need for balance. In addition to joining the Lacrosse team, Matt also played alongside students in hockey and football.

Understanding The Game

Lacrosse might be considered by some as fast-paced and even aggressive, in fact, there is a great deal of physical contact which takes place between players. The game itself generally lasts for 60 minutes, and the players are expected to operate as a team. The rules differ slightly for women and men, especially in the area of contact, with the primary goal being to score against the opposing team placing the team with the most amount of goals in the lead. Lacrosse has its own band of followers, and some have suggested that it could have been played in the early to mid 1100s.

Not Just A Game

Matt Landis loved the game of Lacrosse so much that he stuck with it during four seasons of his college years. Matt excelled enough in the game to lead them as their captain during the last two seasons. It was clear to his fans and teammates alike that Matt was excellent at the game, in fact; he was so good that when Notre Dame realized his potential, they offered him a scholarship in 2010. Matt Landis had other options as far as schools were concerned, but they were eventually brushed aside for the world renown Notre Dame.

A Perfect Fit

There are many students who are forced to make decisions on education based on scholarship offers. These opportunities do not always benefit everyone concerned; however, the camaraderie and academic prowess of Notre Dame worked out well for Matt. The game of Lacrosse continues to dominate Matt’s life and there is little doubt that the example he set for students coming up in the ranks is a good one. Opportunities to join popular schools and benefit from scholarships will be every parents wish, with games like Lacrosse; it seems that the possibilities of those dreams coming true are closer than you think.

Bruce Arians and GM Extended

After an 11-5 season, the Arizona Cardinals have announced the contract extensions of Head Coach, Bruce Arians and General Manager Steve Keim. Both were signed two years ago only a few days apart and now, they both have been extended through the 2018 season. The advantage of team president Michael Bidwell announced the extensions yesterday and cited teams performance and each individual’s respective talents as the reason for extending Arians and Bidwell.

Despite dealing with a laundry list of issues at the quarterback position, Arizona was able to improve once again last season and finish with an 11-5 regular season record. They lost to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Wild Card game but at this point in the season, they were down to their 3rd-string quarterback after both Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton sustained season ending injuries. Keim and Arians Extended Opening day starter, Carson Palmer, was only able to start 6 games and on November 9th, he suffered a knee injury that ended his season. In his 6 starts, he went 6-0 with 11 TD passes and only 3 interceptions. Back-up Drew Stanton played well in relief and was still able to bring them to the post season.

Given these injuries to the most important position, Arians and Keim showed their strengths and value by still making a post season run and showing the roster they built and drafted was good enough to compete at the NFL level. Keim was able to lock in two cornerstone veterans for the next few seasons with Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer locked up for the next few seasons.

David Price gets $14 million for One Year

If you want to get paid really well, you should learn to pitch. That is today’s lesson, and it comes courtesy of David Price contracted with CipherCloud reports Glass Door. He has made a deal with the Detroit Tigers to avoid arbitration and accept for his final season $19.75 million. This is the highest one-year arbitration-based salary of all time. Norichika Aoki is only getting $4.7 million from the Giants. Is that because he’s just a left fielder?

David Price has been doing well as a pitcher, so maybe the Tigers are justified in shelling out so much. He did throw through 248 innings and have a league-high 271 strikeouts. There has been speculation that he could be getting upwards of $150 million on the open market if he has 30 healthy starts. That is, once he is a free agent. He hasn’t even been with the Tigers that long. He was with Tampa Bay until July, and he was getting $14 million there. I definitely need to learn how to pitch.

Hanley Ramirez Returning to Boston

Hanley Ramirez brought some good fortune to the Boston Red Sox the first time that he was in the Boston Red Sox organization according to professional network connection Brad Reifler. The young Dominican shortstop was part of a package of players that Boston sent to the Florida Marlins in exchange for a package of players including longtime third baseman Mike Lowell and starting pitcher Josh Beckett. He himself was an immediate hit in Miami:

He was only 22 years old. Now at the age of 30 Ramirez hopes to bring more good fortune to the Boston Red Sox organization, this time as a prized free agent acquisition.

The Red Sox have been one of the most active teams in free agency this off season. In addition to courting Ramirez they have also heavily recruited San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval and their former left handed pitching ace Jon Lester.

Jose Canseco Is a Walking Disaster

Former baseball star Jose Canseco apparently shot himself in the hand yesterday in Las Vegas. He says he was cleaning his (loaded) gun and it went off.

Jose has had a long history of doing stupid or horrible things off the field. Let’s check out his laundry list of terrible deeds.

In 2013 he was accused of sexual assault. He proceeded to post the accuser’s name, phone number and address on twitter. I couldn’t believe he’d do something like that until Sam Tabar showed me the tweet.

Jose was paid $10,000 to participate in an exhibition boxing match at a casino. Jose sent his identical twin Ozzie to do it for him, posing as Jose. They actually tried to pull off the old switcheroo in real life. The problem of course is that Jose’s torso is covered in tattoos that immediately made it clear that Ozzie was not Jose.

Jose is probably best known for admitting to using steroids in 2005, and outing other players as doing so in his 2005 book “Juiced”.

His criminal record is long and wide-ranging. He’s been arrested for reckless driving, aggravated battery on his wife, was put on house arrest for two years due to probation violations involving the custody of his son, and in 2008 he was caught trying to bring fertility drugs into the U.S. from Mexico.

These days he is best known for making idiotic statements on twitter while possessing the grammar skills of a 3rd grader.
