Early in the game, Gallo made clear that he would have no trouble transitioning to Major League pitching. In his first at bat for the Rangers, Gallo hit a 2-run double off of the starter for the Chicago White Sox. There was an error, however, and the official ruled the play a single.

In his subsequent at bats, Gallo would crush a couple fast balls for a home run and a double, respectively. During his fourth time at the plate, the White Sox’s relief pitcher was able to strike Gallo out with four pitches. His fifth time at the plate yielded a walk.
Gallo came very close to achieving a cycle. Even without the triple, his debut game was impressive. Could this be the beginning of a new era in Rangers’ baseball, led by third baseman, Joey Gallo?
